About the Author

With over 10 years of experience working in education as a math instructor, Jakara Lewis is the powerhouse behind the top-rated workbooks in the KISS IT Series. She began working as a math tutor while in college, and after much consideration decided to open a tutoring company at the age of 22. After receiving her Bachelor's Degree, she went on to teach mathematics for 3 years at the secondary level. Initially, she had goals of transitioning to the administrative level, but after receiving her Master's Degree in Educational Leadership she decided to take an alternate route. One morning, while having a candid conversation with her fiancé the idea of creating math workbooks came to the forefront, and thus the KISS IT Series was born. In just 2 short years her workbooks have been shipped to 48 of the 50 states in America, she's helped thousands of students successfully pass their TEAS exams, garnered over 100,000 views on YouTube, and grown a following of over 20,000 across her social media platforms.
